Session timeouts

As part of the security protecting your data, session inactivity timeouts are set by your administrator. When your session times out, you are logged out of the system, and any unsaved work is lost.

Five minutes before your session is due to expire due to inactivity, you receive a warning. You can perform an action, such as saving your work, or opening a new work item, to reset the session timer.

When a session times out, the session state is saved, and you are returned to the sign in screen. When you sign back in, your previous session state reloads, but without any unsaved data.

Tip

To avoid data loss due to session timeouts, save your work often, and always save your work when leaving your computer.
